Kate has more than a decade of experience in communications and marketing, particularly in strategic planning, media relations, social media and writing.
Before joining McMillan Vantage, Kate managed her own independent consulting business where she lent her expertise to a diverse range of clients, including the House of Commons, Canadian Medical Association, Reconciliation Canada and the U.S.-based Warehousing Education and Research Council.
Kate began her career in non-profit with United Way Ottawa and the Canadian Nurses Association, where she provided strategic communications and media relations counsel to executives, created and implemented comprehensive communications plans, and translated complex ideas and information into meaningful messages that would resonate for any audience.
Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Ottawa and a public relations diploma from Toronto’s Humber College. She sits on the board of directors for Dress for Success Ottawa.
