Anushka Kurian

Anushka leverages her experience in Canadian politics, political science research, and ESG to drive government relations and communications solutions for clients across sectors.

Anushka’s expertise in Canadian politics was developed through extensive political organizing over 5 years operationalizing federal and provincial campaigns. She has been involved in running campaign communications, management, and outreach for both federal and provincial candidates. During Canada’s 44th federal election, she appeared as a recurring political commentator for CBC’s power and politics to provide insight on voter turnout and youth voting, as well as environmental sustainability policies.

Prior to joining McMillan Vantage, Anushka worked for the University of Toronto President’s Advisory Committee on the Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainability, where she developed a strong understanding of project management and implementing ESG initiatives across large institutions. Having interned in a Minister’s office under Kathleen Wynne’s government, she draws on her rich background in public policy to implement insightful government relations strategies.

During her academic career, Anushka leveraged her strong abilities in writing and analysis by collaborating with faculty at University College London (UCL) and UofT, the international NGO Yazda, as well as Synergy, an undergraduate journal, to publish original research in political science.

Anushka’s Master’s Degree in Political Science is from the University of Toronto. She likewise holds an Honours B.A. in International Relations and Ethics, Society and Law from the University of Toronto and University College London, where she graduated with high distinction.
