Sydney Grad

Sydney is a communications and government relations professional with a wealth of experience in the political sector. She draws on her rich background in political analysis, research, and advocacy to lead impactful GR and communications strategies for clients across numerous sectors.

Sydney’s expertise in Canadian politics was developed through extensive political organizing. Sydney has played pivotal roles in local and central campaigns at both the federal and provincial levels. She has been responsible for stakeholder management, key messaging, and developing and executing get-out-the-vote strategies. Additionally, she created and generated content for social media and advert buy strategies, allowing her to hone her technical and creative skills.

Beyond campaign work, she has formal experience working for the Ontario Provincial Government as a Constituency Assistant and in their Queen’s Park Internship Program. Sydney later completed an internship at the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition in Ottawa in the Conservative Party of Canada war room for the 44th general election. In addition, Sydney was a Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC) Fellow.

Sydney has a strong academic background and is pursuing her Master of Public Administration and Master of Global Affairs in a joint program between the London School of Economics and the University of Toronto. Sydney holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies with a minor in Classics from Queen’s University.
