Jeff Rutledge

Jeff is an experienced communications and public affairs professional with more than a decade working in government and the private sector. Before joining McMillan Vantage, Jeff served as the Sr. Director of Communications for the Canadian Beverage Association (CBA), where he led communications and advocacy strategies navigating the rapidly changing food and beverage sector, from health and wellness to sustainability.
Prior to that, Jeff was the Manager of Government Affairs for Scotiabank and a consultant for one of Canada’s largest public affairs firms. There, Jeff built his understanding of the private sector’s advocacy and public policy needs, and refined his approach to crisis communications and client work. Jeff began his political career working for a senior minister in the Harper government and continues to be actively involved in Conservative politics.
Over his time in government, consulting and the private sector, Jeff developed a concrete understanding of the unique political processes from coast-to-coast-to-coast. He has a record of developing effective strategic engagement plans and building relationships across federal, provincial/territorial and municipal governments. This has allowed him to establish a strong network of senior elected officials, political staff, department officials and media.
Jeff has been involved with the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC) for a number of years as well as a part of StanD-Up for 360 Kids which works to provide support to in-crisis and vulnerable youth.
