Heather is a trusted advisor to business and government leaders, with a track record of more than 15 years in strategic communications, issues and crisis management, media and PR, and government and stakeholder relations. She specializes in protecting and promoting corporate brand reputation by creating and executing strategies that manage risk and win the hearts and minds of audiences and stakeholders.
Heather has led successful crisis communications and PR strategies that have helped clients preserve trust and credibility in high-stakes, high-visibility situations. Her work has consistently helped organizations emerge from reputational challenges stronger and more aligned with their values. She has also led successful stakeholder engagement work, building consensus and fostering trusted relationships across diverse and often competing interests.
She brings a multi-dimensional perspective to communications and advocacy challenges, drawing on a career that includes senior roles for an Ontario cabinet minister and the Leader of the Official Opposition, reporting experience at two of Canada’s major media outlets, and business experience in regulated sectors such as beverage alcohol, cannabis, and supply-managed commodities. Heather has built and led highly effective communications teams that deliver for clients navigating complex issues, times of change, reputational risk, and operational challenges.
Heather holds an English degree from the University of Ottawa, a degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a diploma in paralegal studies from Humber College.
