Jonathan utilizes his experience in media, political science research and academia to assist clients at McMillan Vantage.
Prior to joining McMillan Vantage and working in the political world, Jonathan spent time in media. He was a production Assistant at Accessible Media Inc., mainly responsible for writing scripts, editing and some technical responsibilities. A highlight of his time was covering the 2013 Liberal leadership election and convention.
While working towards his undergraduate degree, Jonathan spent time as a host for The Filibuster, a political radio program on CKCU 93.1 FM, where he was responsible for researching story ideas, providing commentary on current political events and conducting interviews. He interned at Canopach, a New York City-based consultancy where he focused on policy research and communications. More recently, he spent time as a research assistant for the COVID Border Accountability Project, an academic project based at the University of Notre Dame where he researched pandemic-era border closures.
Jonathan holds a diploma in media and television from Algonquin College, a BA Honours in Political Science with a minor in history from Carleton University, and is currently working on his Masters in Political Science at the University of Waterloo.
