Napas Thein

Napas Thein is an Associate at McMillan Vantage, where he provides public policy analysis and government relations services. He specializes in helping clients navigate complex issues across the federal and provincial government landscape. His work is particularly focused on monitoring and identifying opportunities within federal regulations, trade, and interprovincial trade barriers, with a track record of serving clients in the healthcare, bereavement, and housing sectors.


Napas’s insights on key policy issues have been featured in publications like The Globe and Mail and the CD Howe Institute. He has also provided a witness testimony to the House of Commons Subcommittee on International Human Rights on the situation in Myanmar. He is a Canada-Asia Young Professionals Fellow with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.

Prior to McMillan Vantage, Napas’s career included roles as a Research Fellow studying Myanmar’s political situation, a Global Security Intern for Kinross Gold, and a Constituency Assistant in a Member of Parliament’s office. He holds a Master of Public Policy at the Munk School and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Urban Studies from the University of Toronto.
